NAVTEC'S owner, John Williams, began introducing people to the wonders of Baja Mexico in 1964. Back then, a 4WD land tour took 30 days to traverse the peninsula.

In the past 35 years our trips have evolved into exploring the waters surrounding Baja. We bring extensive guiding experience to our sea kayaking expeditions. Trips are designed to educate our customers about the area's natural and human history, while providing a safe adventure and memories that will last a lifetime.

Sub-tropical waters

We also operate tours on the Pacific side of the Peninsula. Our base camp expeditions to Magdalena Bay focus on the annual California Gray Whale migration. Hunted to the brink of extinction, the resilient Gray Whale has enjoyed a marvelous comeback.

Abundant sea life

Most of the paddling on our trips takes place in the morning, allowing plenty of time in the afternoon for personal exploration. Snorkeling among tropical fish makes our customers feel at one with the sea. And if you like to fish, the Sea of Cortez is a world class fishery.
